Lael Stone has been integral to the success of High Trees Primary. She has generously shared her wealth of knowledge, guidance and support with our Founder, Marj and continues to help us create an education system that values emotional awareness.
She speaks for the heart of the child by supporting parents to understand their children and helps adults process their own childhood trauma through connection and compassion.

SIR KEN ROBINSON
Sir Ken Robinson was a global authority on creativity, education, and human potential. Celebrated for his transformative TED Talk, "Do Schools Kill Creativity", he collaborated with world leaders, educators, and organisations to champion the role of creativity in learning and life. An acclaimed author, his insights have shaped educational policies and practices worldwide. His legacy continues, with his final manifesto, "Imagine if… Creating A Future For Us All", written with and completed posthumously by his daughter Kate.

Alfie Kohn writes and speaks widely on human behaviour, education, and parenting. The author of fourteen books and hundreds of articles, he lectures at education conferences and universities as well as to parent groups and corporations.
Kohn’s criticisms of competition and rewards have been widely discussed and debated, and he has been described in Time magazine as “perhaps the country’s most outspoken critic of education’s fixation on grades [and] test scores.”

A renowned speaker, and bestselling author, Dr. Gabor Maté is highly sought after for his expertise on a range of topics including addiction, stress and childhood development.

NATHAN WALLIS
Nathan Wallis is a father of three & foster parent with a professional background in child counselling, teaching and social service management.
He lectured in Human Development at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand and was also a board member and senior trainer with the national body responsible for the dissemination of neuroscientific research to professionals.
He has developed a reputation as a lively and engaging speaker who uses humour and plain language to make this complex topic come to life.
Nathan is a regular on Radio and Television shows in New Zealand, sharing his expertise on child development. In 2010 he founded a private training consultancy, X Factor Education Limited, with the goal of facilitating easy to understand professional development training reflecting the latest neuroscience discoveries and their practical implications for everyday practice. Since then he has been in hot demand, delivering well over 200 presentations year in New Zealand Australia and internationally.

MATE BYSTANDER PROGRAM
We are invested in protecting our children and as such implement various programs to ensure this.
MATE, a project of Griffith University, Queensland, is an education and intervention program teaching us all to be leaders in the prevention of violence and problematic behaviour.
The bystander approach focuses not on the perpetrator or victim of violence rather, what we can all do to prevent violence in our homes, workplaces, schools and communities.
